Schoberalm: Family time in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park

At 1800 meters, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, lies the Schoberalm – a family chalet in the mountains that offers space for shared time and individual needs. For many years, it was run by Anna Fleißner, the grandmother of the family, as a dairymaid. This history continues to shape the atmosphere today. With much love and craftsmanship, the former dairy hut was later transformed into a spacious chalet that retains its original charm while offering plenty of comfort.

Here, every generation finds its place: some start early on an exploration tour, while others leisurely embrace the day. The surrounding mountains invite you to take a deep breath and let go of everyday life.

In the morning, the day begins at the large wooden table – upon request, with a generously filled breakfast basket from the Fleißner family: homemade Reining, fresh house bread, farmer's butter, and other Carinthian specialties.

For a relaxed start, a starter package is also available: a hearty snack with regional products, complemented by wild game from the hunt around the hut, as well as a cool Carinthian beer. Ideal for easing into the mountain rhythm without stress after arriving.

The chalet offers plenty of space for togetherness: a warm living room, a large dining table for game nights, a cozy seating area, and quiet spots for peaceful moments. Outside, the nature adventure begins right at the door – with family-friendly hiking trails in all directions.

For those seeking something special, a yoga or breathwork session can be booked directly on the alpine pasture – a shared experience that often resonates long after.
