The rustic, very cozy "Panorama Almhütte Nockberge" is situated in a secluded location at 1300 m above sea level on the Laufenberg, in the middle of the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Reserve.

This lovingly renovated "Troadkastn" dating back to 1677 is the perfect place for a romantic break for two.

Fantastic panoramic views over the Gegendtal valley, Brennsee lake, Radenthein, Feld am See and the Karawanken mountains. With views of the Nockalm, the Priedröf, the Kaiserburg, the Tobitscher Nock and the mighty Mirnock.

Originally, this hut was used by farmers as a granary, later as a hut for cattle herders. In the 1970s, the Troadkasten was dismantled by the previous owner Anton at its original location in Mitterberg-Schrott and carefully reassembled at its current location in Zödl am Laufenberg and used as an alpine hut in summer. Even the remaining wooden nails from the Baroque period were reused to join the old wooden beams.

In 2008, my parents Franziska and Joachim acquired the property including the Troadkastn and in 2009 we received the dedication as a leisure residence.

In 2023-2024, my husband Stefan and I renovated the alpine hut again with great attention to detail and designed the extension with a shower including underfloor heating and a separate toilet. The wood for this comes from our own adjacent larch forest.

Now you can live and relax in this cozy oasis of retreat.

You can also rent our newly renovated " Chalet Almhaus Strobl" for 2 people within sight of our alpine hut.

Nature and surroundings:

The Nockberge mountains are a true paradise for hiking, biking, skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing.

Rosennock, Langalmtal, Millstätter Höhe with Granattor, Lammersdorfer Hütte, Alexander Hütte and Ochsenalm are just a few of the excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity.

It is 8 km to Radenthein in the valley. Here you will find: supermarkets, drugstore, post office (at Billa), pharmacy, doctors, gas station, outdoor pool, restaurant Gartenrast, pizzeria and cheese dairy “Kaslabm” with agricultural products from the region. Granatium

Radenthein is the home town of Marco Schwarz, who has won a total of 8 medals at the Winter Olympics and World Championships.

10 km to Feld am See with lido and fish farm with fishing opportunities (“Kärntner Laxn”)

15 km to Afritz am See to the best bakery and confectionery in Carinthia.

Afritz is the home town of 3-time Olympic champion Matthias Mayer.

16 km to Bad Kleinkirchheim, the Ski World Cup resort with two thermal swimming pools, the "Römerbad" and the "St. Kathrein" thermal spa, as well as a golf course. You will also find numerous excellent restaurants here. The mega event “Wenn die Musi spielt” takes place in BKK every year.

20 km to Döbriach on Lake Millstätter See with lidos, various pubs and restaurants. Pubs and restaurants.

Millstatt Abbey with the Millstatt Summer Festival is approx. 25 km away.
