Welcome to Landhaus Gritschacher
Our country house, built in 1885, combines history with personal charm. In the house and the garden you can feel the attention to detail – a place that has grown over time and yet lives in the present.
Located right on the Drau Cycle Path, the Alpe Adria Cycle Path and the Carinthian Way of St. James, we are an ideal stop for cyclists, hikers and pilgrims. Our house is also well suited to motorcyclists and to an overnight stop on the way south – on the B100 and just a few minutes from the A10.
Our rooms are individually designed and inspired by artists such as Hundertwasser, Klimt and Walde. Each room has its own character. Modern comforts such as Wi-Fi, internet TV and spacious bathrooms go without saying.
In the morning we serve our certified Genussland Kärnten breakfast in the cosy Defregger-Stüberl, with regional specialities including our own homemade ham, speck and jams. In the evening we cook in our small Slow Food restaurant exclusively for our house guests.
Our garden invites you to linger. The excavations of the Roman town of Teurnia are right next door, and the Carinthian lakes and surrounding mountains are within easy reach for day trips. Pets are very welcome too.
