The AlexanderAlm is accessible from Tschierweg in the town of Millstatt via the 8 km long toll "Millstätter Almstraße", a prepared and well renovated gravel road. For the ascent you should plan about 30 minutes. For the maintenance of the "Almstraße" and as an infrastructure contribution for the care of the Almlandschaften a toll of € 8, - per passenger car will be charged. The toll can be paid in cash (incl. change) or by card on the way up or down.

By car, an access to the final parking lot at the Schwaigerhütte  is possible. There, the car can also be parked safely and free of charge. From the Schwaigerhütte it is a 30-minute walk to the AlexanderAlm. 

To be on the safe side, the following address can be entered into the navigation system for the parking location: Schwaigerschaft 21, 9872 Millstatt.

Further information

• Experience shows that our dinner tastes best at 6 p.m. on the dot. Check-in should have taken place by then. For arrivals after 6 pm we ask for consultation with us.
• A deposit is not necessary. Payment is to be made in CASH at the hut the evening before departure. Credit or debit cards unfortunately do not work for us at the Alm.
