Sechszirbenhütte at Falkert – Private Sauna at 1,700 m

Outside, stone pines, larches and the Nockberge mountains. Inside, warm wooden interiors, a cosy stove and your own sauna. Welcome to Sechszirbenhütte: our mountain cabin in Carinthia, over 250 years old and set at an altitude of 1,700 metres.

You’ll have the entire cabin to yourselves, with space for up to five guests, two bedrooms and a private wellness area. A place for days in the mountains, leisurely breakfasts and evenings spent enjoying each other’s company.

Make yourselves at home

The living and dining area is where everyone comes together: to cook, play games, read or plan the next day’s adventures. The stove keeps things cosy on cooler days. The kitchen includes a hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, tucked beneath the roof. One has a double bed and a single bed; the other has a double bed, providing proper beds for all five guests. Please bear in mind that the bedrooms are accessed by stairs.

Your own private sauna

After a hike or a day on the slopes, unwind in the private sauna with its Sanarium setting. The wellness area also includes a relaxation room with loungers, underfloor heating and an additional shower with a Kneipp hose. The entire area is exclusively yours, and sauna use is included in your stay.

Enjoy the outdoors in every season

The balcony and terrace are lovely spots for a coffee, breakfast in the fresh air or a break between outings. Outdoor furniture and a barbecue are available, and you can park right beside the cabin. An EV charging point is also available.

Falkertsee lake is approximately 800 metres away. In summer, explore the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Park on foot or take the family to the Heidi Alm adventure park. In winter, enjoy the small, manageable ski area at Falkert. For more days out, Bad Kleinkirchheim and Turracher Höhe offer further opportunities to explore the surrounding area.

Good to know

Dogs are welcome. Please include them when making your booking. Wi-Fi, a washing machine and a tumble dryer are available.

You can bring your own bed linen and towels or book a linen and towel package for an additional charge. Please arrange this with us before your arrival. Check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is by 10 am.

Your hosts

We’re Malte and Mareike, and we’ve been welcoming guests to Sechszirbenhütte since 2022. Our connection to Falkert goes back much further, though: Malte has known the area and the cabin since childhood.

We’ve furnished Sechszirbenhütte just as we like a holiday home ourselves: cosy, personal and with everything that makes time together in the mountains special.
