The hotel is located 500m from the centre of Bad Hofgastein and 300m from the thermal complex Alpentherme, in the hotel own park with an area of 30 000 sqm, and 1,5km from the lift Schlossalmbahn. The ski bus stop is only 5 meters away from the hotel. Next to the hotel there is a ski run for cross-country skiers.

The hotel was built in 1968 and last renovated in 2011. The hotel consists of one 3-storey building with 198 rooms.
