One of the largest ski areas of Carinthia is in the sunny valley at an altitude of about 1100 m, on the border of the Nockberge National Park. On both sides Bad Kleinkirchheim is surrounded by wooded mountains, whose height reaches 2440 m. Thanks to the picturesque surroundings and two large thermal complexes, the area is a popular place for recreation and winter sports. Traditionally, there are World Cup stages and other competitions in alpine skiing. For snowboarders there is a fan park with a 90-meter half-pipe, there are all conditions for lovers of cross-country skiing, sledges and ice skating, there are lighted tracks for evening skiing. Two large thermal springs make the town attractive for those who want to combine active holidays with a visit to the spa. "Roman Baths" and "Therms of St. Katrine" are open to all lovers of radon baths.
